This is a great REVIEW book for USMLE. If your anatomy foundation isnt strong, I suggest watching or purchasing Kaplan Classroom anywhere videos. But the pictures in this book are great!

The book is riddled with errors. If you planning on using this as an adjunct in a Neuro class (med school or otherwise) I would suggest on holding off or looking elsewhere. On a plus note, I like the format. If an updated version comes out with corrections, I would happily purchase it.

This book has always been the go-to for Step 1 prep and this new edition's layout and color are a very welcome improvement. However, I noticed that chapter 7 is replete with errors and contains references to either incorrect images or images that are not in the book at all as well as giving the wrong title to one section. None of the images of brainstem lesions are printed, even though the text refers to them. (See pages 64-69 for all of this). I could give it 2 stars because I think that's the only chapter with errors, but they're pretty egregious and I'm not sure how this even happened. It's wholly possible this is only the case in one batch of books, but I've seen 2 copies and both have the same exact errors. Unfortunate, because the book is quite good in general.

Excellent review source for neuroanatomy for med students. It helped me learn all the salient points of neuroanatomy very efficiently. This book has easy to understand gross structures and intersperses path facts related to the gross anatomy. It has the surprising quality of being thorough and easy to read while presenting all of neuroanatomy in less then 100 pages. Absolutely worthwhile investment, especially if your gross and neuroanatomy foundation isn't that strong.

This saved me from the depraved, interesting, meta, and very ridiculous to learn world of Neuroanatomy as a 2nd year medical student.

I like how the book is written. It is clearly short and concise, and this might be very confusing sometimes (like the gross anatomy chapter/midbrain), but it's definetively a great book and worth buying, love it.

Bought as a gift to my son in Med School

Lots of error in Chapter 7. Diagrams and text don't match at all. Kaplan or FA are much better
